Thematic Trilingual Dictionary - English | Spanish | Yorùbá

Sola Opesan Brown's Thematic Trilingual Dictionary - English | Spanish | Yorùbá is now available. She writes: 'Language is never neutral. It reveals who we are, what we value, and how we remember. In an increasingly interconnected world, learning languages is not simply a practical skill but an act of cultural understanding and respect. Through the relationship between English, Spanish, and Yorùbá, I discovered not only linguistic connections but also shared histories of migration, adaptation, resistance, and endurance. As an immigration law expert, this movement of people resonates with my professional experience and perspective. My Postgraduate Certificate in Education (PGCE) in Spanish and background in philology have further strengthened my appreciation of language and informed my commitment to making language learning accessible and culturally grounded. This dictionary is dedicated to those who cherish language as a living bridge between worlds. To the speakers and learners of Spanish, Yorùbá, and English, may your voices carry the beauty of your histories, the strength of your cultures, and the power of connection. For those who love me, For those who have been there for me in my journey of life, I appreciate you all.'

Asylum and Migration: Human Rights, Borders, and Humanitarian Commitments

Sola Opesan Brown’s new book is dedicated to every soul who has journeyed across borders in search of refuge, safety, hope, opportunity, and dignity.

It is a tribute to the courage it takes to move, to dream, and to believe in a better tomorrow.

In an era of unprecedented displacement, escalating border controls, and growing anti-immigrant sentiment, ‘Asylum and Migration: Human Rights, Borders, and Humanitarian Commitments’ challenges the global community to reckon with the human cost of migration. This timely and urgent book dives into the heart of one of the most pressing issues of our time: the intersection of migration, human rights, and the international response to those fleeing conflict, persecution, and violence.

Embarking On A Spiritual Journey

We are in a spiritual world that needs spiritual attention. Don't hurt anyone, and don't allow anyone to hurt you.

Spirituality can be triggered when one's spiritual power is being tested. At that point, a spiritual journey will commence automatically to protect yourself and others around you.

One needs to meditate with an open heart, love, and assist others when need be. As much as you love and help, keep your distance while loving from afar.

Love is good and essential, but it can equally harm if the balance is not maintained.

Before anything or anyone triggers your spirituality, it is better to embark on a spiritual journey without delay because it heals, directs, provides, protects, gives joy, and gives inner peace.
