Money Doesn't Determine My Mood: Hon. Babatunde Festus Komolafe - Osun State Lawmaker

Hon. Babatunde Komolafe
Money doesn't determine my mood, whether I have money or not I'm happy. Life is full of ups and downs, it's all about knowing how to manage yourself at all seasons. I sleep good, I don't get worried unnecessarily because worrying will never solve any problem. I have inner peace; when I sleep at around 9.30 P.M I don't wake up till 7 A.M in the morning, and the first thing I do is to listen to Osun State news on the Radio. It's very important for me to know what's going on in my state, in Nigeria and around the world.

I turned to politics, not because of money; but to impact my community and make a difference. To be a voice to the voiceless and strength to the weak, that's my aim from the start. I'm glad, I am now and I will surely remain to be so.

As a lawmaker I'm very mindful of what I do. I respect authority, my leaders and colleagues, I stop at each checkpoints if asked to, I obey the traffic lights, and all rules and regulations. Basically, for me is leadership by example.

Hon. Babatunde Komolafe is an advertiser (an associate member of Advertising Practitioner Council of Nigeria 'APCON') and a lawmaker at Osun State House of Assembly representing Atakunmosa East/West Constituency is a man that wants everyone around him to succeed, he's aware of the fact that one should be nice and of good behaviour when in position of authority because one always needs people in all stages of life, no one knows what tomorrow will bring, but when you are  proper then you have people's support all the time.

He's fun to be around, very open and genuine, he doesn't allow any dirty talk about others that are not present; he believes in decency and respect without hypocrisy.  He's a happy man, "happiness" is his slogan with his pals, as soon as his phone rings, "happiness" is the first thing he says.

He respects each individual's wisdom and knowledge, he never underestimate anyone's power; within one minute he repeatedly said to me more than 6 times, "Sola, you've got your power, use it good and help people with it", I smiled, then he added, "Sola, I'm serious, use your power", I sighed, then I asked him, "how?" He answered,  "find out yourself and use it"; He got me thinking,  because I always try to do my best in helping others, but I'm sure he meant more than that and also he sees beyond what I see and know.
This got me curious and closer to him and makes me to respect him more. A very cool man with maximum wisdom and obedience. He loves helping others, and encourages to encourage those that are fortunate to help others in all ways possible...he hates intimidation.

Trust me, I learnt so much from Hon. Babatunde, he's got what he takes.
