When you are in town and a friend is doing all things possible to see you, then know that you have a "super mega friend". My spirit is always very tranquil and joyful when I'm around productive, active, disciplined, respectful, humble, groomed, trained and well cultured man. Right Honourable Professor Mojeed Olujinmi Alabi, possesses all these qualities, he exhibits maturity and good character, he follows the rules of discipline, being a disciplinarian himself. I don't expect anything less from a lecturer of a very high standard.
I spent long hours with Right Hon.Moejed at his office; I saw his amazing Office Skills, Administrative Skills and high Managerial Techniques, you can not beat him to it; he does the office work neatly from corporate letter writing, editing, printing, to name it. he's a very independent man, no one can easily mess about with him, you must be super good as an assistant to be around him, because he's "Mojeed of all Trades, Master of all". He has passion for IT and Photography, also he's well equipped with necessary tools to get things done fast and clean. It was fun throughout, all the pictures here and many more were taken by him. It was some sort of "photoshoot session", since I have passion for photography too, it becomes a joint effort for a great evening fun.
It was getting late, we had other things to attend to; but before living a Professors office, he must surely give out something..."do you want some donations" he said, I looked back I saw him reaching for books, I smiled, before I replied, he said, "they are books", I smiled again, I said, "yes" and thanked him while reaching for the books together. He said, "sadly many people don't like reading these days, that was the reason I asked first", I told him. "I love it and I do appreciate" They were two brilliant books, Unbroken Legacy of Service, & Politics and Law: Anatomy of The Siamese Twins, both written by him.
Professor the Rt. Hon. Mojeed Olujinni Alabi is a lawyer, a lecturer and a lawmaker with solid experience. He lectured at the University of Ilorin at the Department of Politial Science, he was the former Speaker of Osun State House of Assembly between 1999-2003; he studied law at the University of Leicester between 2009 and 2013, he is the CEO and founder of Mojeed Alabi & Co, currently a lawmaker representing Ede North/Ede South/Ejigbo/Egbedore Federal Constituency at the National House of Representatives in Abuja.
During our discussion I said to him, I know you are Multi-Professional, but kindly tell me which of your professions you love most, he answered, "truly I love everything I'm trained for and my occupation, but I do have passion for lecturing, because I can impact knowledge to the youth. Notwithstanding my occupation as a lawmaker is a brilliant one too, because it helps me to give back to my entire community through leadership and empowerment to all, without leaving anyone out. My training as a lawyer helps a lot in handling all my fields; they all make sense to me.
Before we parted, I also asked him another question, "where would you like to live apart from Nigeria?", He answered simply, I love Nigeria, and I'm proud and happy to live here. Anyway, I don't mind going on a long holiday to England, it's not that far from Nigeria, unlike America, it's too far".
It was very had to part with Aare Mojeed, my Mega Super Friend, but he's got things to do and I have places to go. Do we have plans to meet soon? Yes, we are meeting at Africa Leadership Improver Awards, powered by MBE taken place in The Gambia on the 19th of December 2015. That's what friends are for.
