When you meet someone with strength, energy, willingness and eagerness to do more, you won't be told, you will surely feel it; it was a priceless moment with Rt.Hon. Akintunde Adegboye. After few days of greetings from a far, we finally sat down side by side to discuss, each second was full of excitement and a family meeting kind of atmosphere; I enjoyed every bit. We ended up with a short interview.
What's Success to you and how do you manage it? I am grateful to God for all His favours bestowed and bestowing upon me. God Almighty has done more than I imagined. I give glory and adorations to God for the management of the success; I believe I can't manage the success without him.
Who and what inspired you in life? I received my inspirations from God and I followed it through listening to my Inner Mind (Intuition). His words are enamel that can not be waived. I'm inspired by good books apart from the Holy Books that are believed to be written by the authors that are guided by the Almighty. This has compelled me to buy and read good books that I shop for both at home and abroad.
We know that you have done so much in giving back to your society; what would you do more and better? I have done a lot to empower my constituents which I believe can not be enough, it's a continuous giving back. I classified the basic needs of my constituency as education, health, agriculture, roads etc.... and I have contributed so much to all these areas, but not enough. I am eager to do more and put my name in gold.
If you were not a lawyer and politician; which profession would you have chosen? My profession extends beyond being a lawyer and I am not taking politics as a profession, but a call to serve. I belong to other professions by training which include engineering, journalism and management. For clarity I obtained HND and PGD in civil engineering from The Polytechnic of Ibadan and Federal University of Technology Akure, Post Graduate Diploma in Journalism, LL.B and LL.M in Law and Certificate in Graduate Management, but I loved to be a Tailor when I was a kid, I am still feeling that I am missing by not being a Tailor.
For a few people that don't know about you; how would you describe yourself? I am Hon. Akintunde Adegboye a lawyer, an engineer, a journalist, an arbitrator, and a representative of my people. I am presently the Deputy Speaker the State of Osun House of Assembly. I am simple, diligent and straightforward. I want to be remembered as somebody that can be described as came, saw and conquered.
