Elegance, class, decency, humility, self-esteem, confidence, passion, courage, beauty, kindness and love are the qualities I saw after discussing with this woman of virtue.
We ran into each other at Aso Rock Villa (The office and residence of the Nigeria President). She worked in majestically with brilliant smiles, nice hairdo, I couldn't do but give her a befitting compliment; "nice hairdo", I said, she smiled, walked away and then came back and replied with a smile on her face "you are giving compliment like a man", It clicked, the chemistry was there, we exchanged complimentary cards, then discussions began. A sweet memory.
Lady Chioma Ikejiani is a Nigerian-Canadian, she spent most of her life in Canada, she got back to Nigeria in 2014, ever since all she thinks of is Nigeria, Nigeria and Nigeria; "I'm not going back", she said, ... "I can renew my Canadian passport here in Nigeria", she added. The first thing she asked me was, "what are you doing in Europe Sola? come back home, Nigeria is nice", I smiled, then I answered, "I know, I will". "There's no other place like Nigeria, I feel at home here" she said. The more she talked, the more I respect her and love the person in her.
She worked and walked her way to the Top, she has been through all the stages of life, bad times and good times, high seasons and low seasons; still she's loving life, standing tall and always waiting to give back to her community in her own ways, especially showcasing women and men that support women.
I called her yesterday, she was still the same woman with vibrant voice and strength that I discussed with few days ago. Very stable minded and genuine,
A woman of this caliber gives me extra reasons to live in Nigeria without looking back. We can make Nigeria work again...This is the right time.
