Miss Black Europe International Scholarship and Improver Awards is now talking in another language; No swim wear in our shows again. We've gotten to another level of thoughts. We'll keep our bodies sacred, we'll promote and empower our young ladies without encouraging them to expose their beautiful bodies. We want to dress up and not dress down.
Through our empowerment schemes for the youth, now we know the best way to showcase our culture and beauty. We see beyond the outward; we work more on the inside and showcase our inner beauty through intelligence, decency, elegancy, self pride and love for humanity.
The brain and intelligence to lead and make better leaders is our priority. I'm not criticising and will never criticise the organisers that are still on the swim wear agenda, also I'm not saying is wrong, No.
It took me a long walk to get to my conviction of saying NO to swim wear on stage; well, we all get there at different times, hopefully some others will join me. Some part of my conviction could be my role as a Royal Cultural Ambassador; it has changed so much in my life and living; I'm appreciating and loving each moment as a Royal Cultural Ambassador to HRH Onyeche Promise, the Eze Ikemba I of Umuakaru Ulakwo-Umuselem Ancient Kingdom, Etche ethnicity (Rivers State) Nigeria; so much I need to change, and so much I have to respect and abide with. I believe, I must do things the way they are done in our culture, so as to be able to educate others, and lead correctly.
