Stubbornness and Bravery When Necessary

I conquered armed robbers with stubbornness and bravery at the second Toll Gate, Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.

We stopped just by the toll gate to buy some plantain chips, as I was about to pay I saw another face other than the plantain seller's looking at me, but I did not read any negative meaning to it, but the face was a very nasty one. Less than a second there came a strange man at the front passenger's seat; the driver carelessly opened the locks, then I knew there was a problem, I was very calm though. At this point I realised that they were two of them, one still standing outside while the other sitting beside the driver threatening him, I was the only one at the back, carefully listening and paying attention to the one inside, the one outside and of course the driver, so as to know how to tackle the problem.

I came up with a soft feminine voice, 'I said what do you want?' He said drive let's move away from here, drive further down; the gang member outside said madam, just listen to what he's saying, drive and we will sort it out elsewhere down the road. He added you are not supposed to park here, I replied, we are not parked, but rather stopped for a minute to buy chips. The tow vehicle will come he said, pretending to be talking to someone over the phone. Right then I knew what the game was.

The driver was  sacred, he started driving down just to please them, then I screamed at him, 'stop and do not drive any further, give them some money!'. I didn't want to open my bag for good reasons. He gave some money to them so that the one inside the car may get off; the gangster refused the offer.

Now, I had to come up with 'the other me'; no feminine voice, no passion, no soft talk. With authoritative voice I said, "get off the car now or I will come off!" He said, 'madam take it easy, don't talk like that because this and that'.., he came with a fake I.D card showing that he's a member of an association. It was fake, I knew.

He was trying to buy time, I reached for  the door handle, I opened, then, I said, 'now you can drive off with the driver and you will see what will happen'. They were both sacred, because just a few would come out and face an armed robber, the one outside said madam, just enter the car, "I will, only if your mate is ready to come off the car" I said.

He saw my actions and determination, he came off, then both of them said,"'you are just lucky ni oh madam". The driver said auntie, you are tough, but you look so soft, kind and nice, never knew there's another you. We were both disturbed. That was our gist till we arrived in Ilesa.

Bad experience, but I do have all reasons to be grateful.

TIPS TO CONQUER  THEM GANGSTERS

1. Good heart.
2. Never hurt nor steal from no one.
3. Respect each situation, but never be afraid (after all we only die just once).
4. Pretend as if you are not afraid, but start that fast meditation with focus that you are on a trip for a purpose and must be fulfilled.
5. Act weird (as if you are from another planet that is difficult for them to know) if needed and necessary.
6. Remember that their presence is scary, but never show it, do one or two things to scare them and be passionate with the scary technique you are applying.
7. Don't stop just anywhere on the Expressway, might be very dangerous.
