She cares so much for the oppressed and the less privileged ones and she tries to be a voice for them through her song. She's always giving back to her community in her own ways. She's the president of Jubilee Community Initiatives, an association that was founded for the development and improvement of her old school. She constantly encourages others to be charitable. With her song she talks about the ills in the society, and she finds a way of doing good to correct some of the ills.

"My names are Monica Omorodion Swaida. I am a business owner. I own an insurance company and also a production company. I have produced movies and music, also I am an actress and singer. How do I see myself? I am passionate about what I do and try my best to do the best I can in all I do. I am a woman that most call 'Jack of all trades and master of all'. I can say so because whatever I do, I do because of the passion for it, not just because of the money. So that is why I keep pushing hard and working hard. Esohe is my newest and biggest movie to date and I am very excited about it. It's about time we tell our story to the West. If we don't tell our stories, they will tell it for us. The question is this; would it be accurate and will it be the way we want it told?"

Monica is a well determined lady, she knows what she wants and goes for it, no matter what obstacle that might come between her and her goal. An improver she is. I have seen the trailer of her new movie Esohe, I was glad I did. It's a love story that has deep meaning to it. The actors are very good, best actors around for this perfect movie. Yes! It's high time we tell our stories by ourselves, and not glorify others by telling our stories. A good movie that everyone must watch and tell others to do so too.
