Those Memories Come Crashing Through

Here I am playing with those memories again

And just when I thought time had set me free

Those thoughts of you keep taunting me

Men Practicing Polygamy Are "Spoilt Brats"

I'm not saying that the men practicing Polygamy are bad guys; but they are very spoiled due to overindulgence. They know how to find their ways around each situation and they know it will be accepted because they always have the "other home" to run to. They know for sure that each wife will take it calm because she wants that night with him and that "goodie-goodie" too.

These men are being pampered as if they are still in mama's homes and they are loving it with so much pride. You will hear words like these from each woman depends on when, what and where:

"Darling, please when are you coming home to us?"

"Babe, why haven't you called us since, this is not nice honey?"

"My husband why did you cut the phone conversation off just like that?"

"Sweetie, why didn't you answer my calls since?"

These "spoilt brats" always have 'sweet stories' to tell, and they could be very arrogant in their responses at times; and for a woman that knows that there are other wife or wives 'out there or in there' will find away to take it cool and sweet talk him so as to at least see him, even if is after 3 or 4 days.

I'm not against polygamy, it depends on each individual to stay where feels good, but at least these men should be fair and also respect; it's not nice playing with emotions and also playing "Mr. Biggy" just because they have plenty to choose from.

Man Up Spoilt Brats!

Confidence Renewed With Otunba Gani Adams: That's What Friends Are For

Otunba Gani Adams and Sola Opesan Brown

When you have a close friend that cherish you and believes in you, let that individual know how special is too. Otunba Dr. Gani Adams, the Coordinator OPC Worldwide, will always be dear to me for his humility, firmness, level-headedness, self-esteem, self-conviction, valour and gallantry. Our meeting some days ago confirms our undying care and respect for each other. also confidence was renewed; that's what friends are for.

That's What Friends Are For

And I never thought I'd feel this way
And as far as I'm concerned
I'm glad I got the chance to say
That I do believe, I love you

And if I should ever go away
Well, then close your eyes and try
To feel the way we do today
And then if you can remember

Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for

I believe in Patience and Hard Work - Professor the Rt. Hon. Mojeed Olujinmi Alabi

Since the day our paths crossed I knew it was towards something magical; It did not take much to convince ourselves even though we are both security and privacy conscious. I know what he was made of because I have been following his activities for a long while. We had a very remarkable short meeting last week; we sat for four minutes and we basically said all and well understood, it seems a meeting designed from heaven. Few hours later it appears we were both not pleased with the short meeting, it could have been longer if we had the time, but we did not have control over the time. The four minutes seem like four hours, it was loaded with understanding, passion and acceptance.

Money Doesn't Determine My Mood: Hon. Babatunde Festus Komolafe - Osun State Lawmaker

Hon. Babatunde Komolafe
Money doesn't determine my mood, whether I have money or not I'm happy. Life is full of ups and downs, it's all about knowing how to manage yourself at all seasons. I sleep good, I don't get worried unnecessarily because worrying will never solve any problem. I have inner peace; when I sleep at around 9.30 P.M I don't wake up till 7 A.M in the morning, and the first thing I do is to listen to Osun State news on the Radio. It's very important for me to know what's going on in my state, in Nigeria and around the world.

As a Retired Policeman, Lawyer and Lawmaker To Me Security Comes First: Hon. Pa Dejo Osuolale Bello

Sola Opesan Brown and Hon. Pa Dejo Osuolale Bello

I don't go out after 7 P.M because I'm very conscious of what I see and what I hear, also of what I say. This was passed to me by my father, being a very strict man, he hardly let us go out. For me, it was a big pain then; but now I know it was a blessing in disguise this keeps me out of troubles, and also I know how to use my precious time productively at home.

Renewal of Friendship and Passion for Osun State of Nigeria

We met a few years ago on an official meeting; from there and then we became very close friends because  we both have passion for what we do and also our love for humanity is great.

I have learnt in my journey of life how to relate with each individual because of our unique differences which I do respect, also personal space must be cherished for healthy friendship growth. No matter how close you are to anyone make sure you do not suffocate them, when we do it becomes boring to both parties; one feels rejected and the other believes is losing some sort of privacy; strange, but that's the way it is.

I often try to give space and time to even the "closest" person to me because of certain "craziness" that we humans possess; we are all strange in our own ways especially when we are in "search". Search is continuous which makes "craziness" almost permanent in human-beings; some "craziness" could be sweet though.

Regardless of distance and our daily obligations some people are constantly on our minds because of the closeness which distance and obligations can never take away; also because some individuals have given us reasons to keep some sweet memories of them.

Hon. Sikiru Adetona Ayedun, a top Politician in Osun State of Nigeria has just proved to me that a long silence and distance can not destroy any solid friendship; what matters is true friendship, loyalty and commitment.

Sikiru (Eskay) is full of passion for his State and believes that Osun will be much more greater than what "she" was and is, he believes in the State governance and he has the assurance that harmony and stability is in the state and the government is working each minute to put smiles on the faces of the State residents; he did not deny the fact that Osun is going through hard moment, which everyone knows about, but things are looking better and brighter each day. He prays for stability in the State and in Nigeria as a whole. This is my wish too. Eskay is willing, prepared and ready to serve his state more as long as it takes.

In Eskay's capacity as the Commissioner for Culture and Tourism, he encouraged promotion, participation, development, acceptance and appreciation of artistic and cultural activities which include, but not limited to music, theater, dance, painting, sculpture, architecture, literature, films, fashion, beauty, tourism and allied arts and crafts.  He maintained a survey of public and private facilities engaged within the state in artistic and cultural activities and determine the needs for the citizens. He also market and promote Osun State as a destination for leisure, business and cultural travelers. Osun Osogbo festival and other festivals across the state he held and still holds with passion, . He knows how to interpret and present Osun State's history and culture; also he's keen on the preservation and protection of historic resources.

Our meeting few days ago shows and tells me that calmness, tranquility, peace and trust in our close pals is essential because each one of us is in constant search.

Friendship should not be of the lips but must be right from the heart; very interesting that our friendship is renewed with confidence, trust and passion for Osun State of Nigeria.

Like a Shooting Star I Will Go The Distance

I have often dreamed, of a far off place

Where a hero's welcome, would be waiting for me

Where the crowds will cheer, when they see my face
And a voice keeps saying, this is where I'm meant to be

I'll be there someday, I can go the distance

I will find my way, if I can be strong
I know ev'ry mile, will be worth my while
When I go the distance, I'll be right where I belong

Down an unknown road, to embrace my fate

Though that road may wander, it will lead me to you
And a thousand years, would be worth the wait
It might take a lifetime, but somehow I'll see it through

And I won't look back, I can go the distance

And I'll stay on track, no, I won't accept defeat
It's an uphill slope, but I won't lose hope
Till I go the distance, and my journey is complete

But to look beyond the glory is the hardest part

For a hero's strength is measured by his heart

Like a shooting star, I will go the distance

I will search the world, I will face it's harms

I don't care how far, I can go the distance
Till I find my hero's welcome, waiting in your arms

I will search the world, I will face it's harms

Till I find my hero's welcome, waiting in your arms

Do Not Force Anyone To be Part of Your Life

Do not force anyone to be part of your life, it doesn't work like that and it won't work, let them make their own decisions, and you respect it no matter hard it might be, its a blessing and just the right time for you to move on.

Count your blessings and move on, he or she doesn't deserve you after all. We live just only once, put the past behind you and concentrate on beautiful future. Life is not about perfection it's all about making the best of it; set your mind on your happiness and that of those around you, only if they want.

I Made It: 30th of June 2015

"I made it, so thankful,
I never could have made it this far without the Lord".
- Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir (I Made It)

"I decided long ago, never to walk in anyone's shadows
If I fail, if I succeed
At least I'll live as I believe
No matter what they take from me
They can't take away my dignity"

When The Love is Gone

They do talk about working on relationships; which I believe in, but when the love is gone not even marriage vows can hold people together. Love is not an activity of strains, it's not the more you work on it that keeps it stronger. When the interest and feelings are gone, no matter how you struggle, it might not matter at all; there is nothing you can do about it.

The Price of Cheating is High

The price of cheating is high, but no child has to pay for it. It becomes more complicated when children are involved in relationships that are not working out for various reasons. There should be no reason of staying in an unhealthy relationship just because children are involved. No matter what the situation is, children must not pay the price for any relationship breakdown. Take care of them, make them happy, love them; after all not all children will be raised by both parents and that doesn't make such children less fortunate than those raised by both parents and vice versa.

Don't Pretend You Don't Know How to do it

Don't pretend you do not know how to do it, if you know how to impress and convince him/her to be yours, you should also know how to preserve the relationship by spicing it up.

You got his/her attention to choose you out of many, as soon as you have his/her confidence and solid love then the 'attention signal' is not stable anymore. Attention, appreciation, communication, trust and respect are the key tools in relationship. Don't relax, don't take anything for granted; healthy relationship is a continuous journey of sacrifice and dedication.

Make him/her happy; when you do, you are happy yourself and you will have a loyal one forever.

We Write a Script and Act The Play All Alone

We write a script and act the play all alone until we share our feelings with the one that we have crush on; when the person accepts it, then he/she joins in the play.

Kogi State of Nigeria: A Place to Be

Kogi State (The Confluence State) is right in the heart of Nigeria, it was the first seat of power from where Lord Lugard ruled Nigeria. Lord Frederick John Dealtry Lugard of Abinger, The first Governor-General of the Colony and Protectorate of Nigeria. Lugard was born of missionary parents in Chennai, India on 22, 1858 and died April 11, 1945 in Abinger (surrey) England. He ruled Nigeria between 1914-1919 from Lokoja.

Lokoja turned to a very prominent point because it was located by River Niger, this made trading very easy. Kogi State is formed by three major ethnic groups and languages; the Igala in the East Senatorial District, Ebira in the Centarl Senatorial District and the Okun (Yoruba) in the West Senatorial District. There are other minority groups such as the Hausas, Nupes and few others.

There are  several attractive and historical locations to VISIT in Kogi State:

* Lord Lugard (Mount Patti) Rest House.
* Spot of Iron of Liberty for the Freed Slaves.
* Spot where Union Jack Flag was lowered.
* The largest cemetery in Africa where Europeans were buried.
* Confluence Points of Rivers Niger and Benue.
* The First Primary School in Nigeria.
* First Presidential Villa (now Kogi Government House).

LET'S go KOGI STATE!

Stage Your Case and Back Off

Let lovers be.
Let them love.
Let them dislove.
Adults are to make their own decisions and make their own mistakes.
You can not run their race for them nor experience what they are going through in the relationship.
Advice if you have to and then back off the scene; let them be.

"To everything there is a season,
A time for every purpose under heaven" - Ecc 3:1

"A time to love,
And a time to hate" - Ecc 3: 8

Be Brave: Show Your Face

It's very irritating and upsetting seeing individuals with fake names and no profile pictures to identify them with; these people do make big nasty noise online about politicians, leaders and others in position of power.

I believe if you are not ripe enough, there should be no reason for you to write at all, you are being a slave to your write-up and it's a waste of time; back yourself up at least with your real name and face.

Be brave, bold and show up, if you are so sure about those negative posts and comments you're sending out to the world about others, and you are not being paid to do the dirty and cheap job, then step up in the game of real people. Let there be sanity and decency.

Little Princess Natural is Twelve

You know it doesn't make much sense
There ought to be a law against
Anyone who takes offense
At a day in your celebration

'Cause we all know in our minds
That there ought to be a time
That we can set aside
To show just how much we love you

And I'm sure you would agree
It couldn't fit more perfectly
Than to have a world party
On the day you came to be
