Celebrating An Icon's Birthday: Prof. Olu Aina

"Happy Birthday"

You know it doesn't make much sense
There ought to be a law against
Anyone who takes offense
At a day in your celebration
Cause we all know in our minds
That there ought to be a time
That we can set aside
To show just how much we love you
And I'm sure you would agree
It couldn't fit more perfectly
Than to have a world party on the day you came to be

Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday to you
Happy birthday.

  - Stevie Wonder

We love you so much and we appreciate your contributions to the community. Keep it up, don't stop. I'm glad I know you.

Don't Underestimate Them: There Are Still Women Of Honour Out There.

1. Believe it, it's not all women will sleep with you because you want to sponsor their event or any other project.

2. Not all will sleep with you because you are in power (position of authority and influence).

3. Trust me, not all will sleep with you because of empty promises.

4. Be assured that not all will sleep with you because you're a royalty.

5. Not all will sleep with you because you are a lawmaker or with a prestigious appointment.

Indecency: Gradual Disappearance Of Culture, Dignity, Respect And Honesty

I get so worried seeing the gradual disappearance of what we stand for as humans. All sorts of disrespect, lies, untrue news, untrue information, defamation of character, rascality, heartlessness, unprofessionalism, cruelty, falsehood and most especially disrespect for elders and authority. I keep wondering; what got us here, what went wrong.

We say the leaders failed the system; what about the youths not getting things right? They copy and follow the steps of the leaders that they claimed failed the system. Like some leaders failed, also some youths are failing too.  What about those playing so cheap just for crumbs, selling their future and future of others and the generations yet unborn?

Never Dreamed That He Would Be Gone From Me: How I'd Love To Dance With My Father Again.

Back when I was a child

Before life removed all the innocence
My father would lift me high
And dance with my mother and me
And then
Spin me around 'till I fell asleep
Then up the stairs he would carry me
And I knew for sure
I was loved
If I could get another chance

Another walk
Another dance with him
I'd play a song that would never ever end
How I'd love love love
To dance with my father again
When I and my mother

Would disagree
To get my way I would run
From her to him
He'd make me laugh just to comfort me
yeah yeah
Then finally make me do
Just what my mama said
Later that night when I was asleep
He left a dollar under my sheet
Never dreamed that he
Would be gone from me
If I could steal one final glance

One final step
One final dance with him
I'd play

I Accept Everyone: Senator Iyiola Omisore

"I do not have anything against anyone, I'm not at war with no one, I love everyone, and I know I'm loved by so many; I can feel and see it. I do appreciate their love and support for me.

I Have Learnt... We Are All Fools

I have learnt, to keep quiet than to lie (even when people attempt to encourage me to lie).

I have learnt, not to promise, until I'm ready and sure (Only unserious and in some cases also dubious people promise without keeping to it).

I have learnt, that people break promises and turned to be defensive unnecessarily; well, there are still good and noble people out there.

Pay As You Go Relationship Vs Contract Relationship.

I named master/mistress relationship as 'pay as you go' relationship, while 'contract relationship' is that of a husband/wife. Both have their pluses and minuses; but many still prefer to be a wife than a mistress. Okay, a few mistresses might love being mistresses if they are not a 'full time' mistress. A full time mistress is, one that is not married and does not have any other master. A 'part-time mistress' is a married woman who's secretly a mistress to another married man or a mistress to more than one master.... A part-time mistress is an act of indecency.

We Are All Accomplices To Infidelity: Let's Face it!

Infidelity is what many accept, but deny the truth. Many accept it because they love their family that's cheating, or love the one their family is cheating with; it doesn't necessary  mean they hate the one that's been cheated on, and many at times, it could be to spite the one that is cheated on, for one reason or the other. It seems cheating is a norm, which is enjoyed by many, but can't face the truth. It's part of human existence, I believe.

We are all associates, collaborators and we are in acceptance of it; why? Because humans, especially men are polygamous by nature. So, let's face it and stop being hypocrites. Search your heart if you have never been part of infidelity in one way or the other, if  you have not done it yourself; sure you have supported someone in doing it.

JUNE 30: Sola Opesan Brown On Her Birthday Says, "I Thought I Had It All"

I have gone through so many stages that helped me to be who I am today. When I was growing up, somehow I only relate with people from rich homes and or from well educated background. I was taught to love, to respect, to be kind to everyone and to fear no one. Not relating closely to some people didn't stop me from assisting when need be. I was a bit mouthy (mouthy of a decent teenager), not in a negative or rude way, but in a way to defend myself when necessary.  In my journey around the world having lived in five countries and still counting, moving around like a sweet gypsy; I guess I got the travelling 'bug' (smiles) from my parents who left Nigeria for the UK before the mid 60s to study and to live there, when travelling was of a good quality and class. I love travelling, it relaxes and refreshes me, it gives me the opportunity to learn cultures and languages. And also, to learn to respect each individual, we don't have to like anyone but respecting them is essential.

In my travelling to different parts of the world, I met with all sorts of people, people that have been good to me and those I have been good to and helped. Then, I know that, it's no one's fault not to be from a rich home or a well educated family... Life comes to people in different forms, we can't choose the 'vehicle' (parents) that brought us to this world, but we can choose and decide what we want to be, even at that, things do happen in life. We do not have control over some certain things in life.

I have been so blessed with wonderful people around me, I learnt some good lessons and some difficult ones. We shouldn't measure prosperity with just material things, but I'll say something... at a point, I thought I had it all, I bought two houses in Spain within one year, not just ordinary houses... the second one was a three-floor chalet in a very highly privileged zone, a zone not just for anyone, cars, brand new car straight from the factory, plus other investment/property in another country and many other goodies. I'm always very innovative and creative, just to make things happen somehow and anyhow positively.... Sola Opesan Brown you see is not just into events, media, entertainment, branding, interpreting and charity; I'm paralegal too, having worked in the court for a good while. Also, into property business, as a bank mortgage adviser and property developer's agent; owned a beauty shop, sold shoes and other items to do with beauty and fashion.

A time came, things slowed down somehow, I wasn't happy; but it was a journey that connects me to the real person that I really want to be. What slowed me down and didn't make me happy connected me to my happiness. I never believed in predestiny, but, what happened got me to believe in it. I'm happy to have seen many phases in my journey of life, everything helped in making me a better and happier person. It's not about how many times we fall in the journey of life, but how strong we are in standing up after falling and to continue firmly with determination of believing in one's self. Also, It's when we fall we tend to know the real strength in us, and the type of people around us.

Whatever we do, we must be pure at heart, hurt no one, wish no one evil and our paths will be smooth. One may come across difficulties, but, will surely overcome it when your heart is pure.

I'm very humble, the bit I wrote above is not to brag, actually, nothing to brag about; but to appreciate both Mother Nature and God for keeping me going in my journey of life, also a bit of flashback is always good, to guide us to do better and correct what needs to be corrected.

I say, thank you to my friends, family, fans, followers, loved ones; with your love, my love for humanity and by God's grace, Sola Opesan Brown is still standing.

Thank you for having my back.

Thank you for having my back

Alhaji Ayinde Soaga Putting Katsina State Into The Limelight

Alhaji Ayinde Soaga, the GM at NTA Katsina's patriotism, kindness, passion is unimaginable. From, Oyo to Ogun, Ogun to Abuja, Abuja to Katsina, he's doing all it takes to make Nigeria proud. He doesn't only focus on his profession; for him, seeing people doing good and impacting others positively is his goal, also keeping the community together and well informed is his priority. He's an open-minded person and very transparent and straightforward in his doings, no hanky-panky.

Since he continued his professional journey at NTA Katsina, he's made a meaningful difference in many ways... so much that many people are curious, and interested interested in visiting Katsina. He knows the game good, he's a master in all he does. He's an icon and a veteran in journalism.

For him, it's not about money or big name, but the legacy to leave behind. Having him around in any capacity is a blessing from above.

He's top on the list, in the category of the people that I do say, "are naturally blessed", naturally blessed because they are not scared of the success of others, nor intimidated by it. They are secured and assured of their own glory and happiness due to their selflessness, pure heart, kindness and goodwill to humanity.

Alhaji Ayinde is a man of integrity, he knows how to calm anyone down with his soft comforting voice, talks and smiles that are full of experience, passion and care. Even when it seems something looks 'tight', he sees a way to the possibility through tranquility and good explanation for one to see reason and be calm and humble. I learnt more about humility and calmness from this special person .

He's naturally blessed; we'll always celebrate him, he's a real leader, a friend, a brother and a man of great value.

The World Is Always Changing, Nothing Stays The Same

Let's take a walk together near the ocean shore
Hand in hand you and I
Let's cherish every moment we have been given
The time is passing by

I often pray before I lay down
By your side
If you receive your calling before I awake
Could I make it through the night

Cherish the love we have, we should cherish the life we live
Cherish the love, cherish the life, cherish the love
Cherish the love we have, for as long as we both shall live
Cherish the love, cherish the life, cherish the love

The world is always changing, nothing stays the same
But love will stand the test of time

The next life that we live in remains to be seen
Will you be by my side

I often pray before I lay down
By your side
And if you receive your calling before I awake
Could I make it through the night

Cherish the love we have, we should cherish the life we live
Cherish the love, cherish the life, cherish the love
Cherish the love we have, for as long as we both shall live
Cherish the love, cherish the life, cherish the love

Cherish the love
Cherish the life

- Cherish (Kool and The Gang)

Dedicated to Prince Harry and Princess Meghan.

The power of love broke the old 'traditional royal marriage' rules.
She's biracial, she's older, she's a divorcee, from different family background; still Our Prince Harry went all the way.
We wish them well.

Get Busy With The Right People And Be Happy

It's never out of impatience or disrespect, just let them be; when anyone is too busy for you, and it gets to the point that you're losing your faith on them, then, it's getting tight and unlikely; except by stroke of luck or predestiny.

You don't have to proof so much to be shown love and attention in return, you don't have to force it. Each individual knows where their heart is.

Love should be natural, free and flow with ease. Remember, no one is ever too busy for love, to love and be loved. If they pretend to be too busy, let them be and get busy with your own things. You're as important as any other person out there, and you can be as busy as they claim to be.

You'll always have the one of your own choice to be busy with you; also, you'll be on the list of their busy agenda. That's the truth, get busy with the right people and be happy.

MBE is Against Pimping: Our Ladies Are Precious, They Must Be Adored

Everyday one hears different stories, then you start wondering if there are still genuine people out there... Very hard to tell and know these days. People start a business, organization, association; name it..., just to defraud, use and abuse others; especially the innocent ones.

I just got to know that some organisations pimp beauty princesses and queens and use them for other ungraceful things. At Miss Black Europe International Scholarship Pageant we cherish our young ladies. As a mother myself, I see them as my daughters, nieces, sisters. I want them to learn and grow; I want to impact my knowledge, experience and passion that I have for our community in them so they can be bold, beautiful inside, and strong to give back to the society when we help them to find the key to the door of success.

It is about mentoring, branding, empowering and showcasing them, while we let them know and see that education is the key. One's education will never fail, even if other things fail. We coach them not only about the formal education, but also the informal which entails morals, discipline, humility, selflessness and above all respect for everyone regardless whom they are and their background.

When young ladies are being destroyed or polluted, we get it all wrong, because ladies are the bedrock of our society, one day they will have their own homes, give birth to men and women to be (which are the world); what they get is what they'll give back to the world... The chain of unprotected, undisciplined community, then grows. We see beyond today at MBE.

As a licenced Philologist up to doctoral level, with maximum respect for authority, I can't but let the young ladies know and believe that formal and informal education are both essential in becoming successful in life, not only being successful, but to maintain success in the journey of life, that is not always smooth.

We should NOT make money by destroying others, doing so turns to chain of destruction; why? The ladies might one day start same type of organization and will then destroy, abuse and use the younger ones, because it was once done to them. Only a good, forgiving and disciplined ones will cut off the chain of destruction and become clean.

People should be honest, transparent and kind. If they want to use girls... let them go and open a brothel, don't camouflage with beauty pageantry, beauty pageantry is dignifying, don't turn it into trash and what people will look down on. Beauty pageantry is not prostitution, it's graceful and royal; it must be kept so.

After MBE 2014, we have taken swimming wear session out our competition. We do not need the ladies' body to know how beautiful and intelligent they are. We want to see their inner beauty and how they can be useful to our community and be self-sufficient.

I'm not totally against organization who are still into swimming wear session, inasmuch there is no hidden agenda; I hope one day they'll see no need for swimming wear session.

With ten years experience in beauty pageantry, we have never and we will never go down 'the dirty path'. All we do is for the betterment of our community.

Also, we will never promise prizes and benefits that we know we won't give, we have never done so, and will won't. We heard that some don't fulfil their promises; it's indecency doing so. Again, we do not 'fix the winner', it's immoral engaging in that. Well, all our ladies are winners, the only difference is some get the top prizes; whichever way none leaves without benefits.

Honesty and kindness are part of us; no deceit games. I know, we can't change the whole world, but we can change the world around us and it will gradually spread around.

Let's heal the world.

- Sola Opesn Brown.

A Hidden Secret About Senator Iyiola Omisore: Must Be Revealed

This is just the time to tell the truth about what I know about this controversial man. I'll say it loud, for people to be able to make up their minds and never make any mistake at all.

This is the best time ever, I'm sure and prepared to say it just the way it is... It has been taking so much of my energy to put this together and decide whether is the best thing to do.

Yes! It is, for the interest of many people, I have set a time to do this, who and what to convince me not to do it, I don't know and I can think of it.

It's just about the right time to say it clear and loud, then, I'll be at peace with myself.

The truth without fear or favour will be told soon.

May We Walk With The Right People In Our Journey Of Life

Life is a college, we all learn each day, therefore we need to learn, know and understand who is who in our life and for what purpose each individual is there for.

Some are just playmates, this set has nothing to offer than to play and chat irrelevant chats with you, they are time wasters (TW), be careful, don't waste your precious time with them. They only want to have-fun and while away the time, you do not really mean anything to them; they are on an adventure most times. Their attention is on someone else... so make the chats brief or cut if off totally if need be.
