Nigeria's Independence Day: Let It Be A Happy One

Arise, O compatriots
Nigeria's call obey
To serve our fatherland
With love and strength and faith
The labour of our heroes past
Shall never be in vain
To serve with heart and might
One nation bound in freedom
Peace and unity.

Oh God of creation
Direct our noble cause
Guide our leaders right
Help our youth the truth to know
In love and honesty to grow
And living just and true
Great lofty heights attain
To build a nation where peace
And justice shall reign.

The Face Behind The Mask: Chief Okey Dyke Ikeme

When we see a gifted person, we know. Actually what I see in Chief Ikeme is not just the gift, but the heart of gold that he has. He believes in giving back to the community, he has been donating  and supporting non profitable organisations and governments for a very long time; he started over 20 years ago in Nigeria, the passion didn't die in him, he continued in Germany, now still in love with what he does in England, by showcasing African Culture and promoting Arts.

Okechukwu D. Ikeme (okey Dyke) a Biafran, was born in Amaigbo in Imo State, Nigeria. His artistic talents and inclinations were discovered in his tender age by his parents who wasted no time in encouraging and sending him to a school where he could pursue the career of his choice - Fine and Applied Arts. He studied Fine and Applied Arts at the Alvan Ikoku College of  Education in Owerri, Imo State, and University of Port Harcourt in Rivers State in Nigeria between 1985 -1992 and specialized in Painting. He showed a lot of enthusiasm and hard work by participating in first Arts and cultural  exhibition in Abuja, Nigeria in 1992 .
He is a registered artist and the founder and CEO of Creative Corner Gallery Ltd (Nigeria) since 1992. He exhibited his works in Nigeria and some African countries and also in Germany , UK and some European countries . His works are symbolic and speak for the environment. He beliefs that "Art is life and life is art".

He will be masquerading, dancing and drumming at MBE 2016 in Manchester, England.

I Don't Care How You Get Here, Just Get Here If You Can

You can reach me by railway, you can reach me by trailway
You can reach me on an airplane, you can reach me with your mind
You can reach me by caravan, cross the desert like an Arab man

Kai Made It! Congratulations!

Sure is a joy of any parent to see a day like this, seeing a child graduating and going into the real world to put into practice what has been learnt, and also acquire more knowledge in the journey of life.
 I'm glad, he made it!

"We Have to Run People Who Love Money Too Much Out of Politics: They're a Danger in Politics"

The world's 'poorest' president Jose Mujica of Uruguay, says it just the way it is, and also living the life he describes. A life with passion for humanity, life free of greed and hate, living a charitable life that gives and helps the youth to grow and also help the poor to improve their lives. A man that rejects the symbols of wealth, he lives on a small farm rather than presidential palace with his wife Lucia and their dog Manuela.

The Secret Behind Bribery and Corruption in The Nigeria Police: 'Decent Sinners'

We need to get to the roots of some issues, then we will realise that the innocent ones are the ones that we often point fingers at. The top men and women stay somewhere messing with the lives of the junior ones and paint them as evils, whereas they are the wicked, unruly demons. I'm so glad to meet this hardworking and humble Federal Chief that has passion for his work and love for the community. He doesn't want his name to be mentioned, he humbly called himself a 'decent sinner'.

Have You Ever Wondered Why Nigeria is Still Neck Deep in The Hood? - RKO

Have you ever wondered why Nigeria is still neck deep in the hood? Here are the least of the reasons, Compare and be the judge:
UK
David Cameron resigned on Wednesday, 13.07.16 as the Prime Minister of the UK after 6 years at No 10 Downing Street
He chose to snub the extraordinary exit package granted to predecessors like greedy Tony Blair and deferred pension till he turns 65, 16 years from now
He is expected to get a pay-off of around £20,000 (severance package)
He is also in line for pension of around £40,000 a year (WHEN HE TURNS 65), not before
United Kingdom's GDP is $2.85 trillion which ranks 5th in the world while Nigeria's $481 billion ranks 25th. (At least 6 times bigger than Nigeria's)
He and wife remortgaged their family’s only house (£3.6m Notting Hill home) to raise £800,000 deposit for their post-premiership home (both David and Samantha are children of multimillionaire parents)

Seems Loads of US Police Are On Some Bad Drugs

Each day it's becoming so clear that the majority of the US police are on some bad drugs and seems they have mental troubles that must be treated. How on earth an unarmed innocent human be treated less than an animal, actually I have seen animals being treated with dignity and and love.

The Royalty Side of Majek Fashek (The Rainmaker) That's Not Talked About

President Buhari of Nigeria Says "They Won't Know Any Peace"

"Please tell those with plenty of money which does not belong to them to try and negotiate and return it in peace, so that both they and us will be in peace, otherwise we will continue to look for it and they won't know any peace".
- President Buhari.

I support this, may the evil ones that turned our beloved nation into hellhole have no peace.
Live and let live!

It makes sense to reduce the job of the lawmakers into a part-time assignment.

Loads of them are very heartless but some are still very kind and sensible, I was moved when I saw Professor the Rt. Hon. Mojeed Olujinmi Alabi's facebook update yesterday. He'currently a lawmaker representing Ede North/ Ede South/Ejigbo/Egbedore Federal Constituency at the Nigeria National Assembly, Abuja. With few like him, I still believe in good leadership in Nigeria. This is what he wrote below:

"There is nothing wrong in facing the reality by pruning the number of the two arms of the National Assembly in Nigeria as a cost-saving measure. Not only that, it also makes sense to reduce the job of the lawmakers into a part-time assignment, where members could only take sitting allowances. There is nothing in what is currently happening at the National Assembly that cannot be handled on a part-time basis".
 - Prof. Rt. Hon. Mojeed Olujinmi Alabi.

There's no reason why any Nigerian should be in poverty, if there are good selfless leaders; but sadly most of them are wicked, heartless and unruly. Surely, one day the wicked ones shall pay, no matter what, no matter how.

Live and let live, at least a decent  life and living for all.

I Respect David Cameron

It's all about political ideology and principles; he believes in what he campaigned for, but he didn't win, he decided to resign.

My point is, how many African leaders, especially Nigerian leaders will think of resigning for a purpose? Seems none, because there is nothing like ideology or principle on their minds or "dictionary", most have turned to political prostitutes for personal gains and interests. Only a few serve conscientiously.

Let's see what happens next, the biggest decision in almost half of a century made by the United Kingdom.

Different Marriages: "And in That Day Seven Women Shall Take Hold of One Man"

Mainly there are two types of marriages, civil, and religious; typical marriages involve both and must be recognised and licensed by the state. In civil marriages government officials perform the ceremony. The religious marriage can be conducted in the church, mosque or any other religious gathering. In some societies the religious institutions do require civil marriage certificate before the marriage can be conducted by them.

Married or Unmarried

Be happy if you are married, also be happy if you are unmarried. If you wish to get married, work towards it and be well prepared, remember it will no longer be just about you. If you are in an unhealthy marriage and it's life threatening and seems not taking you to greatness or success; be bold enough to walk away, walking away doesn't make you are weak person or impatient person. It means you're taking happiness and stability of mind into consideration by you. We live once and must be well done.

MBE and Madibu: Jointly Gave Birth To IBILE Pageant And Reality Show

It's always a good thing to associate, connect and share with individuals, corporate bodies, organisations that have the same mission, common interest and aspirations as yours. After official meetings and consultations, MBE International Scholarship Pageant and Madibu Tourism Limited see the need to come together in a indissoluble General Partnership to embark on IBILE Pageant and Reality Show, kicking off December this year in Lagos, Nigeria.

MBE is an organisation based in Europe, while Madibu is based in Africa, both will stand as a platform for empowerment and cultural tourism to link both continents, and also to bring a touch of class and elegance into learning, beauty, fashion and tourism. It's a platform aimed to give the key to the doors of success to the youth, both Madibu and MBE have done it before individually, now they can do it better jointly.

Updates will follow, just watch.

They Say Women Talk A Lot

It's said that women utter more words per day than men, women speak about three times more than an average man. Recently they say scientists found the key to explaining why women talk more than men. The study suggests that women's brains produce higher level of protein (Fox P2) known as 'language protein' than that of men.

The Secret of His Success: The Face of A Big Time Blogger.

His work is across the globe, his blog site is known to the whole world, the strategy of his success is him dissociating his face from his work. He's a very passionate man, dedicated to his work, friends and family.

We had this picture taken two years ago; this is for me to let him know that, he's not forgotten, and we will always be what we are.

Will he show his face and tell his name on his blog site one day?

A Journalist With Passion For Culture and Tourism: Wale Ojo-Lanre.

Setting a day aside for a top journalist, blogger, law student and a public servant is never too much.  I don't just love and appreciate him for his sweet craziness and professionalism, but also for his loyalty and consistency.

Though he is celebrated each day, but saying it loud on a day that he came to this world gives special touches of remembrance and celebrations to a down-to-earth, corporate, brave and bold gentleman.

Wale is a man that's always ready to learn, knowing the fact that, no one knows it all, and no one is perfect, because life is a college, we all learn each day.

To Wale:

"And I never thought I'd feel this way
And as far as I'm concerned
I'm glad I got the chance to say
That I do believe, I love you

And if I should ever go away
Well, then close your eyes and try
To feel the way we do today
And then if you can remember

Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for

Well, you came in loving me
And now there's so much more I see
And so by the way
I thank you

Oh and then for the times when we're apart
Well, then close your eyes and know
The words are coming from my heart
And then if you can remember

Keep smiling and keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
In good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for

Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
That's what friends are for
For good times and bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for

Keep smiling, keep shining
Knowing you can always count on me, for sure
'Cause I tell you, that's what friends are for
For good times and the bad times
I'll be on your side forever more
That's what friends are for"

                                          - Dionne Warwick "That's What Friends Are For"

Congratulations to you, Wale Ojo-Lanre!!!

The Best of West Coast: Bah Ebou aka Dr. Babaja.

There are some people that we cannot do but, celebrate and honour just because of their love for humanity and boldness to talk about the evil in the society. I can't just put my mind off this young energetic, African child, who's a dancer, social media practitioner, comedian, activist, correction officer and an educator.

Wrong Conceptions: Sexual Identity

Many at times people are being used as 'cover-up'; they use others as cover-ups as to make people believe they are what they are not. When you get to know that you have been used, just count your blessings and move on calmly, with the hope and believe that the right person will come along your way. If you were fooled before getting into a relationship, never blame yourself, you are not to be blamed, the heavy burden lies on the other party. Sexual identity/sexual orientation is the fact of being heterosexual, homosexual, or bisexual. If you belong to one, do not go bothering and deceiving others that don't fall within your sexual orientation, it won't work for long; also don't hurt the feelings of others, each individual knows where they are and where they want to be, and has the right to make a choice.
